Das Schaudepot - Special III / A day to participate, discover, experience and celebrate, 2.7.2022, 2–8 pm
On this day, new performances will be presented that will be included in the first Schaudepot for the performing arts. The Schaudepot is a special library where performances can be experienced live and, in some cases, borrowed. Unlike in a library, visitors can not only browse through the shelves, but there are also performances in small formats for one to four spectators.

The third “Schaudepot – Special” starts with the presentation of a new work by Bureau Baubotanik (Hannes Schwertfeger & Oliver Storz). “Kleine Wunder der Prärie” (Small Wonders of the Prairie) is a archi-botanical walk and collects small and medium sized discoveries. These include plants native to the city. These treading plants form wherever treading creates such harsh selection that only a few well-adapted species can survive. The miracle unfolds the moment attention is paid to tread plants on curbs and house walls. Using spray chalk and stencils, we will help these inconspicuous plants make a very special appearance. Special previous knowledge and registration are not necessary for this (children under 10 years accompanied by an adult)
Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to experience “Das Festival” with Judica Albrecht, who will be broadcasting live from Lüneburg. Pre-registration is required for this. Das Festival’ by Herbordt/Mohren is based on a collection of impossible program contributions. In the Schaudepot you will meet Judica Albrecht and Armin Wieser as they speak out against the impossibilities of these program contributions, against forgetting and being forgotten. Past and present, live events and recordings, document and fiction become blurred in an almost unravelable conundrum.
Finally, at 6:30 pm. we celebrate the vernissage and access of a new interactive installation in the Schaudepot program: “Tutorial Takdir. Die Anerkennung” (Tutorial Takdir: the Recognition’ by Ülkü Süngün. The visual artist creates an ephemeral acoustic memory space. After sound training for Turkish letters such as r, z, ı, ç, the participants practice with the artist the correct pronunciation of the names of those murdered by the National Socialist Underground (NSU) complex: Enver Şimşek, Abdurrahim Özüdoğru, Süleyman Taşköprü, Habil Kılıç, Mehmet Turgut, İsmail Yaşar, Theodoros Boulgarides, Mehmet Kubaşık, Halit Yozgat and Michèle Kiesewetter. In the choral pronunciation of the victims’ names, a temporary memorial is created. Tutorial Takdir. The Recognition’ transfers the one-to-one situation of the performance ‘Takdir. Die Anerkennung’ into an interactive video.
The finale will be a new food performance by and with Marcus Bergmann starting at 7:00 pm!
