Wave by Emilia Dorr and Tyler Cunningham
This exercise is only possible in a group of minimum 3 people. You need an elastic with a length of minimum 4 meters, according to the size of your group.
1. Assemble yourself in a circle.
2. Place the elastic in your lower backs, close to the sacrum. The elastic is hold by all the persons that are involved.
3. Perceive your weight and the point of contact of your body with the elastic; perceive the soft movement and impulses as waves that the elastic gives to you. The movements and waves you feel travel along the elastic, reaching to everyone. Feel the rocking, appreciate the unbalance.
4. When one of these waves give you an impulse to the center of the circle, follow that impulse changing your position to another place in the elastic. All in the group do this.
5. Find again a pause, perceive again the waves and rocking. Walk slowly to the center to disassemble the elastic.

Die argentinische Künstlerin Emilia Dorr ist Choreografin und Performance-Künstlerin. Sie schloss ihr Studium der Choreographischen Komposition mit Schwerpunkt Körpersprache an der Nationalen Universität der Künste (UNA) in Buenos Aires ab und absolvierte den Masterstudiengang Theorie und Praxis experimenteller Performance an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (HMDK). Die Werke von Emilia Dorr bewegen sich im Bereich interdisziplinärer Aufführungen. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich darauf, in Kontexten “in Beziehung zu treten”, um die Andersartigkeit zu bewohnen und eine geteilte Erfahrung mit dem Publikum zu schaffen. Außerhalb ihrer persönlichen
Projekte arbeitet sie im Produktionsbereich und als Performerin für andere Künstler*innen. Bevor sie nach Deutschland zog, arbeitete sie mehrere Jahre als unabhängige Künstlerin in Argentinien und in Mexiko.
Tyler Cunningham (he/they) ist ein in Stuttgart ansässiger Künstler, Forscher und Schlagzeuger. Er ist Mitbegründer des PROMPTUS Collective, einer Performance-Gruppe in New York mit Fokus auf transdisziplinärer Praxis, sowie von Nothing Else Left to Read (NEL2R) in Toronto, das auf nachhaltige, improvisierte Arbeiten ausgerichtet ist. Seine Arbeiten wurden beim Fluxus Fest (NYC), Arts on Site (NYC), LOD muziektheater (Belgien), Flatpack Festival (Birmingham, UK), 7MPR Themed Dance Theatre (NYC), MISE-EN PLACE’s Open Bushwick Studios (NYC) und Ensemble Studio Theatre (NYC) gezeigt. Er nahm am Internationalen Forum 2023 des Theatertreffens teil und ist Teil von 6 TAGE FREI 2024 im Theater Rampe. Tyler hat einen Bachelor of Music von der Juilliard School, wo er den John Erskine Prize erhielt, und einen Master of Music von der University of Toronto.
