Das Schaudepot

Take the U 6, 7, 12, 15 towards “Charlottenplatz”. (You can take any metro at this stop in this direction. Each one goes to Charlottenplatz.)

Get off at the Charlottenplatz stop. 

Continue to the elevator in the direction of travel at the underground subway station. 

On the way to the elevator, you will pass a kiosk and the Bierkneipe Wikinger (bar). 

Take the elevator at the end of the stop or the stairs directly next to it up to the ground floor. 

Leave the elevator and move over the small building forecourt (pedestrian zone) to the right towards Hauptstätter Straße. 

The bus stop for Bus 43 is on the right side of the elevator at Hauptstätter Straße. 

Take Bus 43.

Get off at the stop “Zellerstraße”. This is the fourth stop from “Charlottenplatz”. 

There are two ways to get to Altenbergstraße 10 from the “Zellerstraße” stop. These are described below. Option 1 is shorter and is via stairs, while Option 2 is barrier-free: 

• Option 1 from the “Zellerstraße” stop:

Directly at the stop there is a short staircase that leads through a small park with playground to Altenbergstraße. Follow the stairs through the park. 

Then cross the road to get to the sidewalk on the opposite side of the road. Altenbergstraße is now on your right. 

Continue straight ahead along Altenbergstraße for about 35 metres.

The Schaudepot is located in the fourth house on the left side of the street directly on the sidewalk.

Towards the street side, the Schaudepot is marked by a small yellow canopy attached to the wall and a sign with the inscription “Die Institution” attached to the house corner. 

The entrance to the Schaudepot is on the road to the backyard at the lower end of the house. Directly above the main entrance hangs a second sign with the inscription “Die institution”. 

You can knock on the glass main entrance door window to gain access. 

• Option 2 (barrier-free) from the “Zellerstraße” stop:

After leaving the bus, continue on the sidewalk in the direction of travel. The sidewalk leads you over a narrow right curve to Immenhofer Straße. On the right side is a park. 

At the next intersection, you will reach Tulpenstraße. 

Cross Tulpenstraße to the sidewalk on the opposite side of the road. 

From here, turn right onto Tulpenstraße. Follow the road. 

The road leads you via a left turn directly into Altenbergstraße. Follow the road for about 35 meters. 

The Schaudepot is located in the fourth house on the left.

If no pre-registration is available, please knock on the pane of the glass main entrance door to get access via the barrier-free entrance. From there, you will be directed personally to the second, barrier-free access, which is located in the backyard of the building. 

The stop “Marienplatz” for Bus 43 (Pragsattel direction) is located directly at Marienplatz on the side of the Mörike pharmacy. Get on the bus there. 

Leave the bus at the “Markuskirche” stop. This is the second stop after Marienplatz.

Continue in the direction of travel for a few meters to the next intersection. Turn right onto Immenhofer Straße. 

Follow the road until you reach the next crossroad. There is a pedestrian strip with a pedestrian traffic light. 

Cross Immenhofer Straße at the pedestrian strip. This is where Alexanderstraße begins. On the left side of Alexanderstraße you will see the organic supermarket “Das Kantinchen”. 

Follow Alexanderstraße to the next intersection.

Here, turn right onto Altenbergstraße. 

Follow the sidewalk on the right. After about 35 metres, you will see two large signs with the inscription “Die Institution” on one wall of the house. 

The main entrance of the Schaudepot is located directly under the sign. 

You can knock on the glass main entrance door window to gain access. 

Barrier-free access to the building is located in the backyard of the building. If necessary, we will be happy to take you there in person.
