From the vision of global sharing to a needs-oriented center – discussion laboratory of the Stuttgarter teilbar e.V. with guests, 28.10.2023, 3-4:30 pm This conversation lab by Tom Knaffl with Surja Ahmed, Claus Baumann, Heide Fischer, Janka Kluge and Paula Kohlmann is about sharing. It’s also about ideas, and spaces, knowledge and resources. What does it mean to share? What structures enable sharing processes? Tom Knaffl, founder of the Verein teilbar e. V. in Stuttgart, invites committed and interested neighbors and experts to share their thoughts, to think about a specific project together, to encourage and advise each other.  The Schaudepot – A…or…NO…farewell tour
The Schaudepot – A…or…NO…farewell tour: Together with guests, Melanie Mohren and Bernhard Herbordt walk from the Theater Rampe to the Schaudepot. This is the place that – by the way – has also become an archive of the collaboration between Herbordt/Mohren and Theater Rampe over the past ten years.
‘Stadtraum-Theater in der alten Fliesenlegerwerkstatt.’ by Elisabeth Maier, Theater der Zeit, 4/2023. Since 2021, Herbordt and Mohren, the two pioneers of the performing arts, have been operating their Schaudepot in the former workshop of an Altenbergweg tiler, in the midst of many rental apartments down in Stuttgart Kessel. Regarding the concept, Herbordt remarks:⁠ “Our basic idea is to bring theatre into the residential area.” During lunch break or after work, people stop by and watch videos of the productions that the Herbordt/Mohren collective has been creating since 2012. For their socio-political performative projects, the two were awarded the "Der Faust" German Theatre Prize in the genre-busting category in 2022. This “great encouragement” has only emboldened them to do more. Astroneto: Dance in Space by Jorge Alencar und Neto Machado
Astroneto: Dance in Space by Jorge Alencar und Neto Machado: The first book in the ‘Paper Choreography’ collection, ‘Astroneto: dance in space’ originates from the performance ‘Desastro’, by Neto Machado, which dives into the adventure of Major Tom, from the song “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, in his travel to space and attempt to explore the unknown.

The Book of Fire (Livro de Fogo) by Jorge Alencar und Neto Machado: ‘Livro de Fogo’ is a book-game that proposes to open a board and share stories that nurture us: stories that we remember, that we know, that we hear, that we invent, that we dream, that we miss. A book rooted in paper and continually written orally, in exchange, in the body.

The Schaudepot – Spezial V – Die Gesellschaft (The Society), Kodak et al., 18.3.2023, 2-8 p.m.: Schaudepot Special presents, among other things, in the afternoon ‘The Society’ and ‘The Children's Society’ with guests from around the world, an ‘An idea lab on the potential of virtual reality for blind and visually impaired persons’ by and with Steven Solbrig, Matthias Nagel and guests. In the evening we look forward to the reception on the occasion of the German Theater Award ‘Der Faust’ for ‘Das Schaudepot’ and the presentation of the new performance ‘Kodak’ for adults and children by and with Jorge Alencar and Neto Machado!

The ‘Blinding Virtual Reality?’ lab. On the potential of virtual reality for blind and visually impaired persons by and with Steven Solbrig, Matthias Nagel and guests / 18.3.2023, 4:00-5:30 pm.: Together, in this idea lab, we explore the potential of performative formats of virtual reality for blind and visually impaired people, and look for a plot, for initial impulses for a digital storytelling and performing.

Kodak von Jorge Alencar and Neto Machado: ,Kodak‘ is a performance for kids in which 100 colorful archive boxes build a world of giant legos or a Mindcraft universe, in continuous construction. They turn into buildings, labyrinths, theater sets and whatever else is needed. From within them, more and more surprises emerge that multiply the possibilities of thought, perception and movement.

Bernhard Herbordt and Melanie Mohren have archived their pieces there. And they are available for a guided tour or a program at any time. Die Gesellschaft (the Society) by Herbordt/Mohren, with the theatre collective ‘The Trailer’ (Karina Pino and Alessandra Santiesteban) and Ebru Nihan Celkan, 11.2.2023, 4-6 p.m. In the Schaudepot you can expect: an introduction ‘The Society’ as a performance and a new research society with Melanie Mohren and Bernhard Herbordt; an encounter with a society member; a video archive of all previous encounters; the opportunity to become a society member yourself, or to propose one. The Children's Festival & Dance Library: Festival Fantasies / 12.11.2022, 3-4 pm: The Schaudepot für die Darstellende Künste presents a music workshop for children with Anja Füsti and Tina Pantisano on Saturday afternoon from 3 pm to 4 pm. In parallel, there is the live online performance, ‘Dance Library’ by Jorge Alencar and Neto Machado as a program for escorts and parents.

The Schaudepot - lunch break The Schaudepot always opens on Tuesdays for a quick performance during the lunch break.
